Each chalet at Baywater Village includes a fully-equipped kitchen, private bathroom, seating area, and dining area. Rooms come with a flat-screen TV featuring satellite channels and a fridge. Daily chalet servicing is provided on weekdays (excluding Sundays and public holidays). Baby cots are available on request. Some chalets sleep up to 8 guests, and units range from one to two bedrooms. A hot tub can be hired through the manager.

The resort organizes a bring-and-braai evening: staff grill your meat and the restaurant provides courtesy pap and sauce. The milkshakes - especially bubblegum and strawberry - get high marks. Baywater Village offers an outdoor swimming pool (open year-round, with a shallow end and sun loungers). Free water sports include paddle boats, kayaks, and canoes on Swartvlei Lake. On land, there are tennis courts, mini golf, table tennis, a games room, a children's playground, and a trampoline. Bicycle hire is available (R50 per person to cycle within the resort). Hiking, cycling, and fishing are also popular.
Near Lakes and Beaches
The resort sits on the banks of Swartvlei Lake, 6.6 km from Lakes Area National Park and 2.3 miles from Swartvlei Beach. It is a 30-minute drive to both George and Knysna, and George Airport is 38 km away. The Wild Oats Farmers Market (open Saturdays) and the Gericke's Point hike (at low tide) are nearby attractions.
Daily Housekeeping and Parking
Daily housekeeping (except Sundays and public holidays) keeps chalets clean, including dishes and braai grids. Free private parking is available on site. Other services include WiFi, a minimarket, laundry facilities, and BBQ areas with picnic tables. The staff, especially manager Ronel, are described as friendly and helpful. A deposit refund inspection takes place at checkout.
